A low-cost, low-risk alternative to logging while drilling (LWD) systems, ThruBit’s® Level 5 solution can cut logging costs by one-third on high-volume operations and save 30+ hours per well on rig time, compared to conventional logging techniques. The fastest, most cost-effective method of logging multi-well development fields, our Direct Drill system uses the Portal™ bit, with latching mechanism attached, to drill the final run. Our SureLog™ tools and hang-off assembly are lowered through the drillstring to total depth (TD) where the bit is opened to provide access to the open hole. The logging tools, suspended from the bit, capture formation data in memory mode while the pipe is tripped out of the hole. This highly efficient parallel operation enables operators to cost-effectively log every hole, obtain their log immediately upon reaching TD, and eliminate tripping and conditioning time associated with conventional logging methods. It virtually eliminates the risk and cost associated with lost tools. The pay-off is lower costs, accelerated revenue streams and improved results. |
