The best choice for wells with multiple problem areas, ThruBit’s® Level 3 solution runs within the protection of the drillstring and acquires formation data in memory mode with tools suspended from the bit. Like our Level 2 solution, Memory Thru Drillpipe virtually eliminates failed attempts and lost or stuck tools to deliver formation data every time, even in the toughest logging conditions. By eliminating multiple conditioning trips for conventional logging, it reduces logging time and provides a cost-effective, lower-risk alternative to logging while drilling (LWD) and pipe conveyed logging (PCL).

The pipe is lowered all the way to total depth (TD) using our Portal™ bit to ream past all difficult areas of the well. Our SureLog™ tools and hang-off assembly are lowered through the pipe to the bit and out into the open hole where the logging tools are suspended from the bit. After tools are checked for quality operation and released from the wireline, they gather formation data in memory mode, logging past all problem zones of the wellbore, as the pipe is tripped back to the surface.
